High-Level Insights at the Opening Ceremony
The summer school kicked off with an opening ceremony featuring exclusive presentations by esteemed professors from West China Hospital Chengdu, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, online greetings from the Finnish Embassy in Beijing and Business Leaders from the organizing teams. Speakers presented cutting-edge insights into target diseases, mechanisms from neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and advanced longevity treatments setting a high academic and clinical bar for the whole summer school. Business leaders shared their insight on internationalization via China and how to build a win-win-win collaboration model in this rapidly changing world.
Training Top Talent for Real-World Clinical Impact
Following a careful interview process from a pool of talented graduates, six young scientists were selected to this specialized program.
Over the two weeks, these talents went through both theoretical and practical exercises on AQ Biotech’s patented phage-biosensor development protocol, covering:
- Experimental design & phage-based biosensor processes
- Biosensor priming for known biomarkers and patient sample screening
- Initial understanding of the unknown sample analysis and interference handling
All six participants successfully passed their final examinations, receiving an official AQ verified certificate of completion. More importantly, they demonstrated strong collaborative team dynamic which is essential when move forward into analyzing real patient samples and clinical translation.
