Introducing Our New Key Appointments
Toni Karhu, PhD – Head of Biomarker Discovery
– Dr. Karhu has a PhD in Physiology, graduating with distinction from the University of Oulu.
– He brings extensive experience in the isolation of novel endogenous peptides and the development of MS-based quantification methods.
– His previous roles include Project Leader at Pharis Biotec GmbH in Germany and Research Chemist at Symeres Finland.
– Toni has authored 29 peer-reviewed publications and received multiple prestigious research grants.
Sini Huuskonen, PhD – Principal Scientist
– Dr. Huuskonen earned her PhD in Drug Development from the University of Helsinki, specializing in proteomic profiling and virus-host interactions.
– She is an expert in LC-MS-based proteomics, including sample preparation, data acquisition, and complex data analysis.
– Her research has been published in high-impact journals such as Cell Discovery and Molecular Systems Biology.
– Sini is highly motivated to apply her expertise to develop our phage-based biosensor and diagnostic platform.
Satu Tiittanen – Senior Scientist & Quality Lead
– Satu brings 20 years of experience in the biotech industry, with a specialized focus on Quality Management Systems (QMS).
– She has served as a Quality Manager for ISO 13485/9001 certified companies.
– Her expertise includes process validation, risk management, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from scratch.
– Satu’s dual background in hands-on laboratory research and quality assurance is vital for maintaining our high standards.
